Closed beta terms. These terms apply to RouteRelay during the closed beta period. They are written in plain English and have not been reviewed by a solicitor. Full legally-reviewed terms will be published before any wider public launch.

Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026 (beta — not yet legally reviewed)

1. What RouteRelay is

RouteRelay is a B2B marketplace and coordination platform. It introduces motor trade dealer businesses to driver and transport company businesses, and provides the operational infrastructure — job posting, document verification, status tracking, proof photos, and payout records — that makes those introductions safe and accountable.

RouteRelay is not a carrier, haulier, transport company, or logistics operator. RouteRelay is not a party to the transport contract formed between a dealer and a driver. The transport contract for each vehicle movement is formed directly between the dealer and the driver or transport company.

Access is by invitation only during the closed beta. RouteRelay does not guarantee job availability, driver availability, or acceptance times.

2. Business use only

RouteRelay is available exclusively to businesses and sole traders acting in a commercial capacity in the motor trade. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a business or sole trader and that you are not registering as a private individual acting as a consumer.

Consumer protection legislation — including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — does not apply to your use of RouteRelay. You are contracting on commercial terms.

3. Accepting these terms

By creating an account and ticking the acceptance checkbox at signup, you agree to these terms, to the separate Dealer Terms or Driver Terms applicable to your role. You also agree to our Privacy Policy.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account with others.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Providing false information — including false company details, false documents, or a misrepresented role — is grounds for immediate account removal.

If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, contact support@routerelay.co.uk immediately.

5. Accurate information

All information you provide on RouteRelay — vehicle details, addresses, documents, job instructions, or contact details — must be accurate and up to date. You must not post jobs, submit documents, or make statements you know to be false.

RouteRelay relies on the information provided by both dealers and drivers to operate safely. Inaccurate information can put drivers, vehicles, and third parties at risk.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Post fake or fraudulent jobs — jobs that do not correspond to real vehicles or movements, or jobs designed to defraud drivers or the platform
  • Create fraudulent accounts — impersonating a business, submitting false documents, or misrepresenting your identity or capabilities
  • Scrape or harvest data — automated access to RouteRelay data, bulk download of driver or job information, or use of the platform to build a competing service
  • Misuse the platform— any use that interferes with the platform's operation, other users' access, or the security of RouteRelay's systems
  • Circumvent the platform — contacting drivers or dealers met through RouteRelay to arrange movements outside the platform. See also the specific anti-circumvention clauses in Dealer Terms and Driver Terms

7. Job records, proof, and disputes

RouteRelay maintains job records, status history, proof photos, and GPS location captures for all movements. These records are available to both parties and to RouteRelay admin if a dispute arises.

During the closed beta, disputes are handled manually by RouteRelay admin. RouteRelay's role in any dispute is to provide the evidence record — proof photos, GPS data, and status history — to both parties and their insurers. RouteRelay does not adjudicate disputes and is not an arbitrator. Damage claims should be directed to the relevant party's insurance.

8. RouteRelay's role and our liability

RouteRelay provides an introduction, verification, and coordination service. It is not a carrier, haulier, transport company, employment agency, or employer. RouteRelay does not employ drivers, direct how movements are completed, or hold any insurance covering vehicles in transit.

The transport contract for each vehicle movement is formed directly between the dealer and the driver or transport company. RouteRelay is not a party to that contract and accepts no liability for its performance, including any loss, damage, delay, or failure arising from it.

Each party using RouteRelay warrants that they hold valid insurance and all licences required for their activities. RouteRelay verifies documents as a condition of platform access but does not warrant the ongoing validity of any party's insurance or licences after verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RouteRelay's total liability to any party for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the platform fees paid by that party in the 12 months preceding the claim. RouteRelay excludes all liability for indirect, consequential, or economic loss.

9. Payments during beta

During the closed beta, dealer payments and driver payouts are processed manually by RouteRelay admin. There is no automated payment processing or escrow system. RouteRelay does not guarantee payment timescales beyond what is agreed with beta participants individually.

RouteRelay does not provide payment protection, insurance cover, or financial guarantees of any kind.

10. Account suspension and removal

RouteRelay may suspend or remove accounts where:

  • False information or documents have been provided
  • These terms or the role-specific terms have been breached
  • Fraud, misrepresentation, or abuse is suspected or confirmed
  • Off-platform circumvention has taken place
  • A driver is persistently unreliable or no-shows on accepted jobs
  • A dealer has outstanding unpaid amounts

During the closed beta, suspension and removal decisions are made manually by RouteRelay admin. There is no automated appeal process — contact support@routerelay.co.uk if you believe a decision has been made in error.

11. Platform changes

RouteRelay is in active development. Features, processes, pricing structures, and availability may change during the closed beta. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Privacy

RouteRelay collects and processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for full details of what we collect and why.

13. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from your use of RouteRelay will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
